πͺ COME ONE, COME ALL
The circus came to town after dark.
Nobody knew where it came from. One day there was an empty field, and the next there were faded posters on the telephone poles, glowing lights in the distance, and a giant striped tent standing beneath the night sky.
Of course, everyone went.
You followed the lights through the gates, past the old rides and crooked carnival games, with music playing somewhere beyond the big top. Everything was sweet and tempting and strangely familiar⦠like a memory you couldn't quite place.
But as the night went on, the crowd started disappearing.
The lights seemed a little dimmer.
The music sounded farther away.
And somewhere behind the curtain, the grown-ups had started their own celebration.
You probably should've left.
You didn't.
Because there was something about that old circus that made you want to stay just a little longer.
Come One, Come All is a sweet, haunted little trip to the carnival after darkβnostalgic, tempting, mysterious, and just strange enough to keep you wondering what happens behind the curtain.
